Back in the days when the idea of taking a bike test did not interest me and I was happy enough pottering around on a 125 with just my CBT, I had a couple of little accidents. The first one happened to me on my way back from University, I had travelled 30 minutes of a 45 minute journey. As I approached a roundabout, I was in the right hand lane wanting to take the third exit (I could have been in either the right or left lane), I couldn't get into the left hand lane as some cock in a corsa had just tried to overtake me on the inside but failed and as you do, I clocked his number plate and I can remember seeing he was wearing a shirt and tie. As I was about to take my exit, the little Corsa, again, decided to overtake on the inside so he could take the fourth exit to the M1 (he should have been in the right hand lane on approach to the roundabout). I had to take evasive action, which made me go further round than expected, miss my exit and clip the curb. I couldn't go after the car as I was only on a CBT so all I had was the reg, the make and model. I picked myself up, checked the bike over and headed back off home. On the way home I decided I was going to buy a helmet camera as I'd had too many close calls in the short time of me riding. I got home, reported the incident (nothing ever came of it as it turned out it was an "unmarked car" that belonged to the Nottinghamshire area, was registered to the chief constable I believe) and I went on the internet, did a bit of ...
