You'll see how you might use an oscilloscope to look at an RC circuit, something many engineers encounter early in their studies. From there, learn about the most important oscilloscope controls and how to use them. What is an Oscilloscope? At its heart, an oscilloscope is a device that shows how a signal changes over time -- often, that means looking at how voltage changes over time. For example, say you had a simple RC circuit consisting of a battery, a resistor, and a capacitor. If you attach an oscilloscope probe to the leads of the capacitor and then connect the battery, a correctly configured oscilloscope will show the way the voltage across the capacitor changes over time. Here are some oscilloscope basics: Oscilloscope Display An oscilloscope can measure four analog channels at a time. Each channel has its own independent set of vertical controls, which allows you to position all four signals however you like on the oscilloscope screen. What Are Vertical Controls? The vertical position knob moves the signal up or down the screen. The vertical scale knob stretches or shrinks the signal vertically. What Does Vertical Scale Mean? Vertical scale is expressed in volts per division. In the example, the scale is set to 5 volts per division. Craig 7" Widescreen Touchscreen Wireless Tablet from CVS Pharmacy I picked up this tablet from CVS Pharmacy for my son. He wants to play with my droid phone and my iPad so i thought i would check this out so he can play games on it. I initially used it for about a day with the stock 2.1 android firmware but i didnt like the marketplace that was included and it was buggy.. slow to touch as you will see in the video.. So i did some research and found online people were upgrading the firmware to android 2.1. So I did the same thing and now it has the normal Android marketplace and plays games.. etc.. EDIT: This summer my son's Craig was in my backpack and when I went to turn it on it had a crack on the screen.. the touchscreen no longer works so he cannot use it anymore.. I got him a used iPod touch and he uses that daily.. I looked for a screen replacement but never found one at a reasonable price.. Here is some information about the tablet.. At about a quarter of the price of Juicedlink's flagship model, the DT454, you can pick the DS214 up for about 4 on amazon or B&H. www.bhphotovideo.com As far as audio quality goes, juicedlink products are top notch. The only real complaint I have is the design. The 1/4 20 hole is in a rather awkward location, and the included audio cable is very short.
