On this week's Aspire, Chloe Wilde shows us a luxury study made from repurposed Mercedes parts, an action camera that'll capture your wildest adventures and a custom-built aquarium fish tank bed that lets you sleep with the fishes. First up, South African artist Katie Thompson has crafted a career out of repurposing discarded furniture and accessories and giving them new life. Her company, Recreate, can turn suitcases into chairs or printing trays into coffee tables. Thompson's latest challenge, however, has been taking the interior of a Mercedes-Benz SL, and designing a home office out of it. The dashboard has been converted into a one-of-a-kind desk with magnetised pads instead of speedometers, card holders instead of vents and a USB charger in the old ignition lock. The driver's seat had its inner components removed to make it lighter and now functions as a swivel chair, the rearview mirror has become a desk lamp and it turns out the brake pedal makes a perfect pen holder. Microphone Shoot-Out!: Sennheiser e609 vs Audix i5 (Mesa Dual Rectifier/PRS Custom 22)
Microphone Shoot-Out!: Sennheiser e609 vs Audix i5 (Mesa Dual Rectifier/PRS Custom 22) Video Clips. Duration : 6.13 Mins.
Mic Shoot Out!: Sennheiser e609 vs Audix i5. These microphones are two "Entry Level Work horses", both priced at around 0. The Audix i5 is Primarily used for Snare Drums and Guitar Amps where the Sennheiser e609 is primarily used for Toms and Guitar Amps.Both Mics are going through a Tascam US1641 USB Audio Interface into an iMac 24" and Logic Studio 9. I did not have both mics set up on different inputs... both are going through input one (Switching the Cable and placing the mics after each take). Guitar used was a Paul Reed Smith Custom 22 Brazilian Limited Edition. Which Mic do you think sounds better? I will be doing more Mic Shoot-outs over the next few Months...
